Families are being squeezed by rising housing costs, property taxes, utility bills, and the growing cost of everyday life.

Nubia will fight for affordable housing, anti-displacement protections, tenant rights, homeownership opportunities, and policies that help longtime residents remain in the communities they helped build. She will also work to provide residents with the resources and assistance programs that help ease financial burdens and improve quality of life.

If you build your life here, you should be able to afford to stay here.

Nubia supports a comprehensive approach to community safety. She will advocate for safer transit, support neighborhood-based safety initiatives, advocate for resources for survivors of gender-based violence,  and ensure families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

As an immigration attorney, she understands the unique concerns immigrant families face and will advocate for access to legal resources, city services, and support without fear.

Every family deserves to feel safe in our streets, at work, school, and at  home.

The 25th Ward is home to vibrant commercial corridors, small businesses, entrepreneurs, workers, and families working hard to build a better future.

Nubia will support local businesses, promote local hiring, strengthen workforce development programs, expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, and encourage responsible investment that benefits existing residents. She believes economic growth should create opportunity for the people who already call the community home.

The wealth created in our neighborhoods must benefit the people who live here.

Our neighborhoods deserve safe streets, reliable infrastructure, clean air, and clean public spaces that make residents proud.

Nubia will advocate for improvements to streets, sidewalks, alleys, lighting, parks, and public infrastructure. She will fight for flood mitigation, neighborhood beautification, environmental improvements, safer intersections, and investments that improve quality of life across the ward.

Every block deserves proactive investment, attention, and care.

Residents should not have to plead with City Hall to get basic services.

Nubia will prioritize responsive ward services, cleaner streets, faster responses to resident concerns, improved infrastructure, language access, transparency, and accountability. 

Her experience in the law and government allows her  to navigate complex systems, build partnerships, and secure resources for communities. 

As Alderman, she will put her experience and expertise to work for the residents of the 25th Ward.
